Prada: Simple Stories
A gesture can give a fashion photograph its story. The position of a hand or a shift in posture suggests a person beyond the frame.
For Prada’s Fall/Winter 2026 campaign, Simple Stories, Barry Jenkins turns his attention to these everyday details. The collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons enters a world of domestic scenes and private moments.

Clothes and Character
Chen Haoyu, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Hunter Schafer and Troye Sivan inhabit the campaign’s still and moving images. Their gestures help shape how we encounter the clothes.
This offers an interesting way to read a collection. Posture and movement become part of the styling, giving each outfit a particular presence.

A Scene Left Open
The images suggest fragments of larger narratives. We encounter a moment without receiving the full story around it.
That incompleteness invites interpretation. Who is this person waiting for? What happened before the photograph? Such questions give the viewer a role in constructing the scene.

Looking at the Everyday
Simple Stories makes ordinary moments worthy of sustained attention. Within the campaign, clothing participates in the small actions through which a character becomes recognisable.
For a fashion image, that is a useful shift in emphasis. The outfit remains visible, while the person wearing it gives us a reason to keep looking.
